The 2025-26 NHL season is winding down, and with that comes announcements of players being nominated for awards that focus more about intangibles than on-ice performance. The NHL recently announced all the team nominees for the King Clancy Trophy, and the New York Rangers' nominee being Adam Fox was a no-brainer.
A leader on and off the ice.

Fox's philanthropy has been personal
This season Fox has been raising money for ALS research, a cause that is deeply personal to him. Fox's father in law, former NFL player Tim Green, was diagnosed with ALS back in 2016. Before the Rangers' season started, Fox pledged to donate $1,023 for every goal he scored, and $523 for each assist to Tackle ALS.
Fox has scored nine goals and added 43 assists for 52 points in 52 games, and despite missing significant time to injury he has raised $31,696 which is no small feat. Throughout his history with Tackle ALS, Fox has also raised money through raffles with prizes including tickets to game, and a locker room meet and greet for a home game at Madison Square Garden. His personal connection to the disease makes this work easy for him to do, and it gives a little extra meaning to each game he plays.
In addition to the monetary contributions, Fox's pledge has brought awarness to the disease, and kept the topic top of mind. Everytime he scores a goal or tallies an assist, it presents an opportunity to plug the tracker for his campaign.

Fox has three more games left to raise money through pledge
The Rangers' season is winding down, but Fox still has the chance to tally some more points and raise more money for ALS research. Fox and the Rangers are back in action on Saturday vs. the Dallas Stars, and then head to Florida for a game against the Panthers on Monday, and the season finale in Tampa Bay against the Lightning on Wednesday, April 15th.
The Panthers are resting most of their regulars at this point, and that is a matchup where Fox could pickup some extra points for his cause. Both Dallas and Tampa Bay still have things to play for, so that will present a bit of a challenge for Fox and his campaign.
