Analyzing the height of the Rangers roster: those taller than 6'5"

As we wrap up our report card series, Blue Line Station has been looking at the New York Rangers' roster a lot from an analytical perspective. In the midst of that — the height of the roster came into interest. Here's a look at the taller players on the roster and what they bring to the ice.

The Rangers' Giants

Edstrom and Rempe were more often than not on the same line. As the two tallest guys on the roster, they should. In fact, on Jan. 21st the pair combined to tie an NHL record. Their combined height of 13-foot-3 is tied with Zdeno Chara and Dougie Hamilton for the tallest combination of goal scorer and primary assister on a single goal in NHL history.

Once Edstrom and Rempe both return to the ice next season, opposing teams are going to have to find a way to combat their height — along with the two other Blueshirts over 6'5".
