The New York Rangers dominance on the road continued with an impressive 4-3 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday. There were many highlights, including the Blueshirts coming back from being down 2-0 at the end of the first period and stealing two points.
The top highlight of the night, however, belongs to the long-anticipated emergence of one of the Rangers best players, Artemi Panarin. Through the first six games of the year, before facing off with Montreal, he only contributed two assists thus far.
In the game against Montreal, he registered a goal and three assists for four points, and much more than that, he looked like himself again.
The straw that broke the camel's back
Rangers fans everywhere were wondering when Panarin would finally break through. He had looked unlike himself, and his play was a hindrance on this team. As the best offensive threat on this team, each abysmal performance was stacking up against his chances of being traded at some point this season.
This four-point performance against the Habs was a nice breakout. Alongside Mika Zibanejad, who had a great night himself, that first line was elite. With getting on the board with his first goal of the year, this might spark a streak for No. 10.

Better late than never
This upcoming Monday, the Rangers travel back to Madison Square Garden, where they are literally the worst team in hockey. They have yet to score a single goal at home, but now that Panarin seemed to have found a little bit of a stride again, things might be changing.
Panarin's late start to the season is better late than never. Now, there is a chance for the Rangers to put on a solid show for their home crowd. If anyone can get this team going, it will be Panarin to lead the charge for the offensive group.
