Dylan Larkin Will be Player to Watch against Detroit Red Wings
Dylan Larkin is widely considered to be the Red Wings' player to watch for Detroit's franchise. Let's break down how he could impact the Rangers on ice and what to look out for in tonight's game.
Coming off of 4-1 win over the Red Wings, Rangers fans shouldn't count Detroit out just yet — especially when they have star centre Dylan Larkin.
The New York Rangers will complete their home-and-home set with the Detroit Red Wings tonight as the two teams shift back to Little Caesars Arena in the Motor City. Dylan Larkin is easily the Red Wings' player to watch for Detroit's franchise. Let's break down his play style and see how he could impact the Blueshirts on ice.
The New York Rangers currently have a 2-0-1 record while the Red Wings hold a 1-2-0 record. One of those losses was handed them just this Monday, Oct. 14, when the Rangers took them down 4-1.
Records aside, Dylan Larkin is obviously the player to watch ahead of Oct. 17's matchup.

On Monday's game, Larkin scored the only Detroit goal of the night with a total of two shots on goal. He scored for the second game in a row, this time tucking in a buzzer-beater at the end of the first period.
The Michian native also blocked two shots.
He signed a five-year contract with Detroit on Aug. 10, 2018. This has since been updated to him signing an eight-year contract — an average annual value of $8.7 million — with the Red Wings on March 1, 2023.
He was drafted No. 15 in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
At age 22, Larkin became the fifth-youngest player in Red Wings history to lead them in scoring with 63 points (16 goals, 47 assists) in 2017-18.
And finally, on Jan. 13, 2021, Larkin was named the 37th captain in the history of the Red Wings
As shown above according to Daniella Bruce — the broadcast reporter for the Detroit Red Wings — despite a sickness going around the Red Wings he is all cleared to go for tonight.
