Filip Chytil's time with the New York Rangers has come to an end after he was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in the deal that brought J.T. Miller back to New York. As the second member of the iconic "Kid" line to depart the organization, the Rangers will be losing the second young member of what was supposed to be the new young core of the roster. Miller will come in and help the Rangers, but that doesn't mean the Rangers losing Chytil isn't impactful.

Chytil was one of the best New York Rangers in his own end. He's always been a sensational player who can offer offense and defense. He's not a player that can play anywhere within a lineup, and the Canucks will benefit from having him in their lineup. New York may miss him, but Vancouver will see him replace Miller in their lineup. He'll be a good fit for Rick Tocchet.

In his 41 games this year, the Czech forward has eleven goals and nine assists for 20 points. In his 378 games with the organization, Chytil had 75 goals and 89 assists for 164 points. He does not have the best totals, but at just 25, he's been a young player stuck down the organization's lineup. An elevated role in Vancouver will allow him to show he is more than just a middle-six player.

New York opted to move on from Chytil after his injury history. Concussions, knees, neck, and shoulder issues have seen him miss games in New York. Chytil is one of the best people to work with, and he'll be adored in Vancouver. Hopefully, he will get a chance to live up to the potential he showed as a prospect. Miller will help the Rangers, but Chytil deserves the best during his time in Vancouver.
