USA Hockey announced its 2025 Hall of Fame class on Wednesday, which included New York Rangers alum Scott Gomez.
The full class will see five new members added, including Joe Pavelski, Zach Parise and Scott Gomez. Additionally Olympic gold medalist and women's defender Tara Mounsey and legendary hockey photographer Bruce Bennett will also be included. All five will be enshrined at a ceremony in St. Paul, Minn., on Dec. 10.
“All five of these members of the class share a common bond through the Winter Olympics," USA Hockey executive director Pat Kelleher said on a video call with reporters according to Fox Sports. “It’s appropriate as we gear up for another Olympic and Paralympic year that all of these people are going into the Hall together.”
Gomez played for the Rangers for two seasons from 2007 until he joined the Montreal Canadiens for the 2009-10 NHL season. He was signed in free agency during the same summer current President and GM Chris Drury joined the organization.
