The New York Rangers were excellent in the second half of the home-and-home series against the Detroit Red Wings. How would you rate the offense?

The New York Rangers have continued their winning ways in the early part of the 2024-25 season with their third win. This time it was a 5-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night.

Following the same script of their win against the Red Wings from the game prior, the Rangers were led by an impressive showing on offense. Let's give this group a grade, as it should be a good one.

A+. . . New York Rangers Offense. Rangers

Up and down the lineup, there were no soft spots on offense. At even strength, on the power play and then on the penalty kill, the Rangers showed no mercy and an offensive onslaught. The Red Wings didn't stand a chance against this high-powered group, led by a player currently leading the entire NHL in points.

Artemi Panarin deserves a grade all on his own. if the Rangers offense was an A+, then "The Breadman" deserves something higher than that. It was such a good night for him, that even on the road in the great city of Detroit, he had some hats thrown on the ice following his hat-trick. Two of those goals were from the man-advantage power plays, giving him a team-lead three on the year.

Outside of Panarin, we saw a first point and first goal from the newest blue-liner, who is savagely fighting for his spot on this roster with the pending return of Ryan Lindgren. Victor Mancini scored the first goal of his NHL career on Thursday night, which should have been his second with the first one being overturned in the Utah matchup earlier this season. Mancini is giving the Rangers coaching staff a good problem, as he is making Lindgren's return to action a big question mark as to who should sit out.

Finally, on the offensive end, the Rangers have now scored five more goals on the year, giving them an even 20. That sits at an even tie of third in all of the NHL, with only the Metropolitan Division rivals Boston Bruins and New Jersey Devils, ahead of them. The Rangers have to keep this offensive explosion going for as long as possible.
