The Carolina Hurricanes eliminated the Montreal Canadiens on Friday night to advance to the Stanley Cup Final. The game was broadcasted by TNT, and it happened to be their last one of the season with ESPN having the rights to the Stanley Cup Final this year. As such, there were no shortage of fans who wanted to show their admiration to the panel, and it led to an interesting moment with Rangers legend and ace analyst Henrik Lundqvist.

At first there was a live shot of a sign that focused on a crowd of fans holding a sign calling out to Paul Bissonette and Henrik Lundqvist. "Biz" was enthusiastic about being a man of the people to meet the crowd, but Lundqvist was a bit apprehensive at first.
That eventually changed, and the Rangers legend popped down into the stands to give the people what they wanted.

Lundqvist has become an important part of hockey coverage for the NHL on TNT, and it is a role he has a lot of fun with. There have been numerous occasions when the panel is in the studio that Lundqvist has given a demonstration about something, and it just adds a lot of value to the TV broadcast.

Lundqvist holds a similar role for the Rangers, and often times he is behind the analyst desk alongside former teammate and backup netminder Steve Valiquette. The MSG broadcast doesn't get into the same shenanigans as the group at TNT, but it is still a great thing to experience and have Lundqvist be part of.
Lundqvist started broadcasting after his retirement, and has been a mainstay of TNT coverage since the 2023-24 season. It is hard to believe how quickly the time has flown by, and it is no surprise that it has only taken him a couple of years to become as much a superstar off the ice as he was on it. The passion and energy he brings to the broadcast is enjoyable, and the best example of that was during this year's Winter Classic postgame with Mika Zibanejad.
