No goals for the Nashville Predators or New York Islanders with the aid of Jonathan Quick and Igor Shesterkin giving the New York Rangers multiple shutouts. The saves that both goaltenders made were exceptional and gave the Rangers the energy they needed. The Rangers were also quite in sync and the performance showed.

A captivating performance by the New York Rangers occurred again. Shesterkin protected the net so intensely that the game's results were a repeating shutout. Quick gave the Rangers a shutout in the previous game with the Nashville Predators. Both goalies were on and ready to work in these games.

The back-to-back shutouts will give the Rangers significant momentum for their next tough matchup against the Washington Capitals. What a confidence boost for this team because they lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs right before the shutouts occurred. These wins are an uplifting start to March for the Rangers.

The Tri-State Challenge is always a fierce rivalry, and the New York Islanders at Madison Square Garden — talk about contention. The Rangers didn’t let their pride get to them at all. It was a clean game, resulting in an ending score of 0-4. Shesterkin has an impressive 21 saves for this game. He was one with the puck and always knew where it was. This shutout against the Islanders is Shesterkin's fourth shutout. His last shutout was on Jan. 21st against the Ottawa Senators. The timing of these back-to-back shutouts is impeccable; it will give the Rangers the push they need for the future.

The Rangers are on a roll getting their points. Back-up goalie Quick also received a shutout when they played the Predators. Quick got a hefty number of saves, too. His saves for the third period alone were 20, which is very impressive for a backup goalie. Quick is always ready to carry his team.

Quick is quick, literally.

In the Predators game, he made 34 saves. He pulled out moves that the Predators weren’t ready for. No puck was getting past him. Quick makes an impressive 360 save that was the talk of the game.

The Rangers are in top condition. The team wouldn’t be where they are without the goalies. Players will always show their appreciation at the end of the game by hugging or giving a thoughtful tap to the goalie's helmet. Their connection is unbreakable. The garden was shining with smiles and happiness as they got to go home with shutout games in the books.

This team is right where they want to be; they are now in control and bringing New York City the wins that we all love. Let’s hope this push in the right direction continues throughout the next few games. The incentive is there, and they just need to keep it going for their next game against the Capitals on March. 5th at 7:30 p.m EST. Let the success for the Blueshirts hopefully continue.
