Imagine getting blown out at home, you’re exhausted, and need to get on a plane for a back-to-back game the next day, and you find out a bus hit your parked car. And that bus was full of the guys who beat your team 6-1.
That is reportedly the situation San Jose Sharks' second team-leader Macklin Celebrini had to endure on Saturday night. To say it was not Celebrini's best night would be an understatement. At only 18-years-old, Celebrini is already the second team-leader on the Sharks — only one point away from tying William Eklund. Celebrini currently has 53 points for 21 goals and 32 assists.
Macklin’s had better days…

After the Sharks lost 6-1 last night, the Rangers team bus reportedly hit his car 🫠

But against the Rangers, netminder Jonathan Quick stopped all four his shots on goal. In fact, Quick tallied an incredibly impressive statline — 22 SA, 1 GA, 21 SV, .955 SV% on the evening. To be more specific, Quick left Celebrini shaking his head after a point-blank save in the third period.
But back to Celebrini, talk about a bad night — his team got blown out by a team on their final stop in their West Coast road trip and he couldn't record a single point. To top it all off, his car got hit by the Blueshirts' bus while the Rangers were on there way out.
Not a fun day for the Sharks, but really not a fun day for the 18-year-old.
Editor's Note — The NHL, New York Rangers, San Jose Sharks and Macklin Celebrini have all not released official statements on this matter.
