Matt Rempe shines at Madison Square Garden against Ottawa

Family-oriented Matt Rempe comes from a family of hockey players, with sisters Alley and Steph having previously played for the Ivy League's Brown University. On Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators, Rempe showed heart and passion en route to a 5-0 win which earned him his first goal of the season.

After play against the Senators, Rempe's career statline moves to 29 games played, two regular-season goals and two assists (+4). The Rangers' record improved to 23-20-4, only needing eight more points to get into the top-three. Tying this back to Rempe — the Rangers have gone 5-0-2 after he returned from his eight game suspension.

Brad Richards introduced the Broadway Hat, which is to be worn by the game's MVP in victories as designated by the players. As for looks, it's a requirement that the hat be a fedora.

After recording a back-to-back shutout, Shesterkin rightfully found the hat in his hands. However, he passed the hat off to Rempe after watching the youngster defend him in the scrum and recording his second point of the year.

"Huge two points, let's keep it going," Rempe said to his teammates after receiving the hat in the locker room.

And keep it going he and the Rangers will.
