According to Mollie Walker with the New York Post, fan-favorite enforcer and 22-year-old forward Matt Rempe is now listed as week to week due to an upper body injury.
Meaning the New York Rangers will be without Rempe for the remainder of their California road trip, and potentially a little longer, after suffering an upper-body injury. Rempe played on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Kings which is likely when he sustained his injury. However, The Rangers did not specify exactly how or when he sustained this apparent upper-body injury. There are 10 regular-season games remaining this season for the Rangers and it’s unclear how many he'll miss.

Rempe fought Tanner Jeannot during the Rangers 3-1 loss on Tuesday, and went down hard after losing his balance. Most are speculating his upper body injury was sustained in this particular moment in reference.
In 36 games, the forward has recorded two goals, three assists and five points while averaging 7:59 minutes.
With Rempe out of the lineup, rookie Brett Berard is expected to draw back in his place. However, it seems as if Nicolas Aube-Kubel will also remain with the Rangers after being recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack earlier this week.
A Devastating Blow
This is truly some devastating news for the Rangers' organization, as they are in a very crucial spot right now and looking to secure a Wild Card spot and need all the help they can get. Losing any player for a long period of time while only having ten games left is never good.
When it comes to Rempe specifically, especially with recent morning skate's actions regarding Rempe line up with what seems to be congratulating him on a contract extension. Plus, Remp's effort on the ice whenever he's on is undeniable.
really fucking good skating i’m so happy for him pic.twitter.com/khig2GuDoX
