It's another game day for the New York Rangers. As the Blueshirts look to build on that win over the Dallas Stars, where Igor Shesterkin stole the two points, the Carolina Hurricanes come to Madison Square Garden. Carolina's awful recent record in this building will give the Blueshirts some hope to add a fifth win to their recent struggles. However, it will not be easy. We all know what this Hurricanes roster offers; it's dangerous, and we'll work hard.
Will Borgen will make his second appearance as a member of the New York Rangers after making his debut in Dallas. It's his first time playing a home game at Madison Square Garden. It'll be a good examination under the bright Broadway lights for Borgen. Urho Vaakanainen will also make his home debut after first getting into the lineup on a recent road trip. Both recent trade acquisitions will be under the microscope tonight.
Matt Rempe is still awaiting the verdict on his ejection after his hit on Miro Heiskanen in the Stars game, so he'll be unavailable for this game against the rampant Hurricanes. Jimmy Vesey is expected to slot back into the lineup instead of the large Calgary native. It'll be a challenging game for the Rangers if they aren't careful, so the Blueshirts must start on time, or the Hurricanes will put this game out of reach before the Rangers get off the ground.

A 12:30 matinee will see the Rangers look for the three points against a team they've had success against in recent years. Considering the spring postseason series these two teams had, the Rangers know how to overcome this Rod Brind'amour system. It'll be a tough night for the Rangers because they cannot give this team anything. Carolina will take a mile if you give them an inch.
