After a dismal performance in Calgary, the New York Rangers look to get back in the win column and make amends for their mistakes in Edmonton when they take on the Oilers. The defeated Stanley Cup Finalists have struggled out of the gate but started to rebound recently. They've struggled to find a goaltender to backstop the roster, so there will be goals on offer for the Rangers if they play up to their potential tonight.
Zac Jones is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so the Rangers recalled Victor Mancini from the Hartford Wolf Pack. There's no reason not to with the injury sustained to the Blueshirts' number six, and Mancini had impressed at points when he was up with the NHL team to start the season. His extra physicality might help against an aging Oilers side. He'll have to be clever against the likes of Draisaitl and McDavid, but it'll be a fun experience for the kid.
After Igor Shesterkin had the workload of two games against Calgary, Peter Laviolette gave the nod to Jonathan Quick tonight. Quick has blanked his last two opponents and is looking to continue that streak tonight. However, the Oilers have much more firepower than teams like Detroit and Seattle, so it is a new challenge for the three-time Stanley Cup Champion, but the entire fanbase has faith in him.

Puck Drop
It's a 9 p.m. puck drop from Edmonton. Former New York Ranger Ty Emberson will look to make an impression on the team that waived him at the start of last season. Former Oiler Sam Carrick will look to show Edmonton why they should have kept him. The Stanley Cup Finalists provide the measuring stick for the Blueshirts, but are they up for the task tonight?
