In preparation for the Battle of New York, many roster updates have been made in between Hartford and the New York Rangers.
New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury announced on Monday that the club has recalled forward Brennan Othmann from the American Hockey League’s Hartford Wolf Pack and assigned defenseman Matthew Robertson to the Wolf Pack. Additionally, Zac Jones has been recalled from his conditioning stint.

Othmann, 22, has recorded 20 points (12 goals, 8 assists) in 27 games with the Wolf Pack this season. He recorded an assist in the club’s 6-5 victory over the Providence Bruins on Saturday night. The native of Pickering, ON, has appeared in 94 career AHL games with the Wolf Pack, scoring 69 points.
Robertson was selected in the second round, 49th overall, of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft by the Rangers. At 23-years-old, Robertson has recorded 18 points (1 goal, 17 assists) in 47 games with the Wolf Pack during the 2024-25 season. His 17 assists are one away from his career-high of 18, set during the previous year.
Additionally, during Jones' conditioning stint he recorded one goal in two games with the Wolf Pack.
Additional Status Update
New York Rangers beat reporters on the scene in New York have reported two significant updates ahead of play against the Islanders. Defenseman Adam Fox was not on the ice for morning skate on Tuesday but is still expected to play. Also after missing play against Pittsburgh, Kreider saw participating in morning skate and is likely to see play tonight, according to the Athletic's Peter Baugh.
