New York Rangers Take On the Anaheim Ducks Looking to Rebound From Panthers Loss
Coming off their first regulation loss of the season, the New York Rangers will take on the Anaheim Ducks from Madison Square Garden. It'll be the Blueshirt's first time seeing the Ducks in their remodeled jerseys with the iconic logo back, and it's a young team that's given Orange County, California, a lot of optimism. They're dangerous up front and will not roll over. New York has to be at the races if they're going to win tonight.
For New York, we expect to see the young defenseman who started the season so well, Victor Mancini, make way in the lineup for the re-instalation of Zac Jones. Ryan Lindgren coming back into the fold saw the Rangers chop and change at the back, but their first regulation defeat came with Mancini and Lindgren playing together. The reworked pairings have Lindgren with captain Jacob Trouba and Jones partnering with Braden Schneider, whose dropping to the third pairing.
Matt Rempe's reassignment to the Hartford Wolf Pack means Jonny Brodzinski is now getting the minutes on the fourth line. With Jimmy Vesey still out but getting ever closer, the Rangers will have options for that position. Since we've seen they'll all be significant assets, which one plays is a luxury. Vesey will slot back in, so one of Edstrom and Brodzinski will likely come out. There's some internal competition for places.

Puck Drop
A 7 p.m. Eastern puck drop will see these two teams clash under the bright lights on Broadway. Since this is an interconference game, going to overtime isn't as big a deal as it would be against an Eastern Conference lineup. Can the Rangers get back in the win column and show the world that the Florida game was an anomaly, or will this losing streak grow to two games?
