After a dominating win over the Anaheim Ducks last night, the New York Rangers will prepare to visit the Boston Bruins. This is a significantly better opponent that the Ducks were last night, so the Rangers will be facing a difficult task in trying to contain the Bruins. The last time these two teams met, it was a back-and-forth game that the Rangers ended up taking to move to the top of the NHL standings.

After Jonathan Quick closed down the Anaheim Ducks, it'll be Igor Shesterkin who leads the Rangers into tonights game against the reigning Presidents' Trophy winners. It'll be a very difficult task for Igor to keep the Rangers in this one tonight, but the former Vezina trophy winner will be the one the Blueshirts put their faith in. New York needs to get good goaltending with a tired skating group tonight.

Former Ranger Kevin Shattenkirk will be back playing against his former team tonight. He was bought out by the team many moons ago at this point, but still gets paid by the team and will continue to until the end of this year. Blake Wheeler will once again try to prove his former team was not smart to give up on him at 37. Ryan Lindgren will also be going up against the team that drafted him many years ago.

Puck Drop

This is a 7 p.m Eastern puck drop from T.D Garden in Boston. As the Rangers look to try and string multiple wins together again, the Boston Bruins look to destroy the hopes of the Metropolitan Division leaders. It has all the makings of a fun game, and the Blueshirts need to win tonight if they want to extend their lead at the top of the Metropolitan Division.
