New York Rangers host the St Louis Blues in the Rangers first game after the deadline
Additions across the roster have strengthened the New York Rangers roster. Depth is now something the Rangers should have in abundance as the organization will take to the ice for the first time with their deadline additions. They will host the St Louis Blues at Madison Square Garden as the two teams will compete for the two points. A lot of fans wanted a former Ranger off the Blues roster that did not happen, but Pavel Buchnevich will return tonight anyway.
Making his debut on the top line next to Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad will be Jack Roslovic. The former Columbus Blue Jacket and Winnipeg Jets forward allows the rangers to have a final threat up on that top line and readjust the depth. This is a line now that has to dangerous goal scorers and someone that can keep up with them and not just be a dead weight.
In the bottom six, number 91 Alexander Wennberg will jump into the third-line center role. With Filip Chytil out for the year, Wennberg was the pick up from the Seattle Kraken that allows the Rangers to have a more natural third-line center. Wennberg making his debut at the Garden means he will be put under pressure as soon as he dons the sweater. Are the lights too bright on Broadway?

Puck Drop
This is a 7:30 puck drop from the Garden as the Rangers will be trying to cement themselves as a true Stanley Cup contender. With the Blues in town, this is a game the Rangers have to take and shove the two points in the back to solidify their lead at the top of the Metropolitan Division. Artemi Panarin is going to need to be the best player for the New York Rangers again. We'll see if they can get the win tonight.
