New York Rangers look to atone for previous defeats as they take on the Anaheim Ducks
The recent spell of games for the New York Rangers have not been enjoyable. Struggling to maintain winning streaks, the Rangers have continued to drop points, and now will be taking on the Anaheim Ducks in Orange County. It's not been good enough from the Rangers recently, and instead of continuing to compete among the best in the NHL, they may find themselves getting dragged into the dogfight that is the Metropolitan Division.
Igor Shesterkin will be the netminder tonight as Jonathan Quick got his return to Los Angeles last night. Both teams came up short as the Ducks were overcome by the San Jose Sharks and the Kings shut down the Rangers offense. If the Blueshirts front end talent doesn't wake up, this could be a very dark time for the New York franchise. It's becoming more and more concerning that this team will not live up to its own lofty standards.
As the Rangers look to try and fix their losing probelms, it's going to take offensive support. Players like Mika Zibanejad and Blake Wheeler need to become more domainant and take the pressure of the second line. Artemi Panarin is the only reason this team is anywhere near competitive this season, so the rest of the roster needs to help the Blueshirts break through the offensive struggles they are enduring five-on-five.

Puck Drop
This is an 8:30 PM puck drop from Orange County, and the Blueshirts will need the two points tonight. Still winless on this road trip so far, there is a lot of concern building among certain fans wondering if this team is for real, or if this is just going to end in a first round elimination in the postseason again. The only way to improve is to pick the offense up, and the best time to act is now.
