New York Rangers look for revenge in Canada against the Toronto Maple Leafs
The last time these two teams met was a week ago. The Toronto Maple Leafs came into Madison Square Garden and kicked the New York Rangers around for 60 minutes, taking a 7-3 victory away from the most storied building in all of hockey. Now, the Rangers will look to return the favor as they visit Scotiabank Arena to take on the Maple Leafs. Another clash of two original six markets, and the Rangers will be hungry for revenge after last week.
For the Rangers, one of the major keys is going to be solidifying defensively if the team takes the lead. These Maple Leafs have proven that they are never out of a game. They came back from a 5-0 deficit against the Columbus Blue Jackets since the last time these two clubs met. If the Rangers take their foot off the gas at any point tonight, this is a team that will make them pay with the two points.
The one major difference about this game from the last time these two teams met is that the Maple Leafs are without their starting goalie. Joseph Woll is on the shelf after suffering a high ankle sprain. It means that either Ilya Samsonov or Martin Jones will be trying to hold the Rangers at bay instead. Regardless of which one it is, the Rangers will have the advantage with either Igor Shesterkin or Jonathan Quick.

Puck Drop
This is a 7 p.m puck drop from Toronto, so normal time. This is sure to be one heck of a game as one of the best teams in the NHL meets one of the few clubs that have been able to humiliate it so far this season. It'll be a competitive game, and with the Maple Leafs starting to see their injuries compile, the Rangers need to strike while they can and run back to Broadway with the two points.
