New York Rangers Look To Tie up the Series Against the Florida Panthers in Game Two
New York had a poor first game of this series against the Florida Panthers, but game two provides a chance to right the wrongs of the first game. Being shut out in the opening match of the series is never good, but the Rangers now face an uphill battle to get their first goals of the series and secure game two before shipping down to the Sunshine State for the next installment in the series.
Should head coach Peter Laviolette turn to Matt Rempe and reinsert him into the lineup? With the Rangers' scoring woes, a man of that size and physicality can create space with his hitting ability and open up chances for those with more offensive talent than the 6'8 Albertan. Whether he will be reinserted into the lineup tonight remains to be seen. That is a conversation that will be had ahead of the game tonight.
Laviolette will have to do something to keep up with the Panthers after the Cats can force the Rangers into a situation where they cannot generate anything against Sergei Bobrovsky. When the Rangers get onto the ice tonight, they have to be able to get pucks on the net against Bobrovsky. New York has too much talent to get shutout again, which is adversity the Rangers haven't faced this postseason. New York needs to be better tonight.

Tonight's game will start at 8 p.m. Eastern as the Rangers look to get back into this series and tie it up before heading to Sunrise. We know that the Rangers' offense struggled in game one. New York needs to find a way to get over the hump in the offensive zone and get onto the scoreboard. Florida has too much talent to play the way the Rangers did yesterday. Getting a foothold in this game will be essential for moving on.
