One of the big reasons for the Rangers playoff exit was their top guys did not produce. As you can see four of their top five point scorers in the regular season were ranked at a B- or worse. I will give some leeway to Fox because he did play with an injury throughout most of the postseason, however, Mika, Kreider, and Panarin were all inconsistent and did not show up when it mattered most.

Despite multiple stars not playing to their normal level, the positive takeaway is a couple of players exceeded their expectations. Lafrenière looks like he could go for 40+ goals next season and Goodrow was a great spark for the team the entire postseason with several electrifying goals.
