New York Rangers start west coast road trip against the Vegas Golden Knights
It's a long west coast trip that starts today for the Blueshirts. As we start to see the organization build some momentum on home ice, the schedule demands that the team moves out west. So, they will start against the reigning, defending Stanley Cup Champions. Can the New York Rangers continue to build on the momentum they achieved at home against the Washington Capitals and Seattle Kraken in Sin City?
Knowing that the New York Rangers will be on the strip tonight, we might get to see Jonathan Quick take on the team he won his third Stanley Cup Championship with last season. When players go up against a former goaltending teammate, it usually results in either a shutout, or the goaltender getting lit up. With Quick not being there for a long time, perhaps this will not be the case, but it'll be an interesting fight if it happens.
We know that former New York Ranger Brett Howden will be making an effort to haunt his former team on the Golden Knights fourth line. He and former Hartford Wolf Pack member Jonathan Marchessault will be trying to force the painful memories of the past and letting them leave on the Ranger faithful once again.

This will be a 10 p.m. start time from Sin City, as the Rangers set out west once again. Last time, the Rangers swept through Western Canada and came home on a heater that shot them to the top of the Metropolitan Division stanidngs, where they still reside. As this trip continues, the Rangers will look to have the same fortune bestowed on them, and continuing to move forward would be a strong starting point.
