New York Rangers take on the Dallas Stars at the Garden after outdoor win over Isles
Seven straight victories have the confidence flying high among the New York Rangers. Coming out of the Stadium Series game at MetLife, the Rangers are extremely hot as a roster. Now, the Rangers will have one of their toughest challenges since the all-star break as the Dallas Stars enter the Garden. It's difficult to beat the Texan team, but that is the hurdle the Rangers will have to overcome to re-establish the six-point lead at the top of the Metropolitan Divison.
Matt Rempe is expected to make his MSG debut after first appearing at the Stadium Series. He was fine, and the fight with Matt Martin less than a second into his career made him a lot of fans as he made quite the introduction to the battle for New York. Seeing him in a more sturdy environment, we'll get a better feel for what Rempe is. Are the lights too bright on Broadway for this kid?
Ryan Lindgren was banged up in the outdoor game when he took a stick to the face before the goal from Alexander Romanov. He left the game and didn't return, but the Minnesotan is expected to play a full face shield tonight to protect the damaged area. He's a gritty defenseman and embodies the style of play the Rangers want defensively. He'll sacrifice his body to block shots and go face-first into uncomfortable situations.

Puck Drop
This is a 7 p.m puck drop from Madison Square Garden. The Stars are coming off a game yesterday in Boston where they went into a nine-round shootout with the Bruins, so they will be tired going into this one. Knowing that, the Rangers need to play high-intensity hockey through the game. The Stats will not be able to keep up and it'll get easier to take the game away in the third period. It'll be tough, but it's a winnable game.
