We have a series on our hands. The New York Rangers win game two of the Eastern Conference Finals to tie the series up at one game each. New York tallied their first goals of the Conference Finals after being shut out in game one, with this game being a lot more chippy and physical than the first game in this series. There were a few moments of animosity between the two squads, but the Rangers held out to head down to Florida with the series in the balance.

New York needed a big goal, so naturally, it had to be the Panarin line to break the ice. Artemi Panarin would receive the puck just inside the offensive zone and send it forward for Vincent Trocheck to grab hold of. He spins and fires a pass into the middle of the ice in Alexis Lafreniere, but it's broken up a bit before bouncing to Adam Fox jumping in from the blue line. Fox drives to the net and finds Trocheck at the back post to tap home the game's first goal.

After the goal, there was a minor melee between the two sides as the Panthers reacted to a collision involving Alexis Lafreniere, which led to the goal. Skirmishes broke out across the ice when the Blueshirts scored, and the two teams got pretty feisty. The teams exchanged takedowns, shoves, and crosschecks while the goal song blared around the iconic Madison Square Garden.

Florida would tie the game back up when their powerplay. Carter Verhaeghe would shoot the puck from the blue line, and the puck would beat everything on its way into the back of the net. It found a way through many bodies in front, and Igor Shesterkin couldn't stop it, so it hit the netting behind him.

At the end of the first, the scoring stopped. So, we jump ahead to overtime, and the Rangers need the next goal to tie the series back in Florida at one. So, it came from the likeliest of sources, Barclay Goodrow. The Rangers' alternate captain knocked down a long stretch pass and got the puck over to Vincent Trocheck. Trocheck returned the puck to Goodrow, who picked his corner on Sergei Bobrovsky to end the game.
