The upcoming 2026-27 season for the New York Rangers has a couple of really cool milestone moments to look forward to. From top to bottom, some players are going to be able to achieve some incredible personal goals throughout next season.

Here are some to watch out for.

Mike Sullivan's 1,000th game as a coach

This is a really special one, as Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan will step behind the bench on opening night of the 2026-27 season for the 1000th time in his career. That is how you get a season started.

He recently hit 500 wins as a coach last season, so 600 wins will not be possible next season. It could be a bit dicey next season, but Sullivan should be able to retain his job into the 2027-28 season.

Mika Zibanejad could hit hat-trick of milestones

This is also another fun one, as Mika Zibanejad can have a little more to celebrate next season following hitting 1,000 career games and the franchise record for most power-play goals. At 284 goals, 383 assists, and 667 points as a member of the Blueshirts, he could join the 300 goals, 400 assists, and 700 points club next season.

That is a hell of a hat trick to have, especially as he will be joining some all-time greats in each of those stat leaderboards.

Igor Shesterkin continues to be on pace to catch "The King"

Despite the past two seasons being a complete dud on the legacy of Igor Shesterkin, he has still been able to contribute his part to try to win hockey games. In his relentless pursuit of catching Henrik Lundqvist, he is still on pace.

With 187 wins to his credit, he could become the sixth goaltender in Rangers history to eclipse 200 wins next season. If Shesterkin can finish out his current deal, which is eight more years, he will tie Lundqvist's 15-year tenure. Looking at the pace for wins, Shesterkin has to win 34 games or more in each of those eight seasons.

Doable, yes, but it is going to take a lot of work considering this franchise is in a full-blown retool phase.
