New York Rangers prospect Gabe Perreault recently made history in helping Team USA win back-to-back gold medals in the World Junior Hockey Championship. Now back with Boston College, he has also been nominated for the coveted Hobey Baker Award.

On Wednesday morning, the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Foundation announced sophomore Perreault as one of three Boston College nominees. The award is annually presented to the top NCAA men's ice hockey player.

The Quebec, Canada native was drafted 23rd overall by the New York Rangers in the 2023 NHL entry draft.

Perreault is currently tied for second in Division I in assists with 20, which leads Hockey East, and is tied for seventh nationally in points per game with 1.33, good for second in the league. The sophomore and dynamic winger has recorded a point in 17 of BC's 21 games this season, including nine multi-point performances. No. 1 BC currently boasts a 16-4-1 overall record including an extremely impressive 10-1 slate when at home.

He was named Player of the Game twice throughout this year's World Junior Championship and scored multiple goals throughout.

The initial list will be trimmed down to the Top 10 in March and the winner will be announced during the Frozen Four in April.
