The New York Rangers have had so many great goal-scorers in their 100 year history, and these three did it better then everyone else. We looked at the best goaltenders in franchise history, but now it is time for the forwards.
Let's get right into this one.
3. Chris Kreider
One of the fastest players to ever wear the Blueshirts uniform, Chris Kreider was a fantastic goal scorer for this franchise. It seems so weird to say, "was", in that sentence.
With 326 goals for the franchise, he ranks in third place all-time, and he had a real chance of chasing down the No. 1 spot. He was a fantastic threat to have on the powerplay, as his 116 goals with the man-advantage is tied for second with Camille Henry.
No. 20 will undoubtedly have his jersey retired in the rafters of Madison Square Garden, and the hope is, that maybe he gets one more year to wear that Blueshirts uniform. His trade to the Anaheim Ducks was a necessary one, but it hurt every Rangers fans soul to watch him go.
2. Mika Zibanejad
Now crowned as the single greatest goal-scorer on the powerplay with 124 goals, Mika Zibanejad comes in at No. 2 on this list. He has 284 goals in 730 games with the franchise, and is fourth all-time. This is a spot you might have expected Jean Ratelle, but when you look at what him and Kreider accomplished in a similar span of time, there's some appreciation for what Kreider did in a league with more teams. And with Kreider at No. 3, the player who has the chance to set even more records is a natural fit for this spot.
The 32-year-old native of Sweden is still playing at a high level, and there is a chance that the power play tallies could reach an insurmountable height. Plus, if he continues to pot 34 goals a season, like he did in a very turbulent 2025-26 season for the Rangers, he could give this next legend a run for his money as the greatest goal-scorer in this franchise's history.
1. Rod Gilbert
Nobody scored goals like Rod Gilbert. "Hot Rod" holds several Rangers scoring records, as being the only member of the 400 goal club, at 406 goals and the only skater to reach 1,000+ points in their tenure with the Blueshirts with 1,021.
He was a legend in this organization, and his No. 7 is immortalized in the rafters of MSG forever. Gilbert scored 30 or more goals in a season, five times, which was one shy of the Rangers record, held by another top-three worthy player, Jean Ratelle.
