Benoit Allaire
A man who has never gotten the recognition he deserves, we have to start with Benoit Allaire. He's changed the history of the New York Rangers. Working with the likes of Mike Richter, Henrik Lundqvist, and now Igor Shesterkin, Allaire has ensured that the Rangers enjoy some of the best goaltending in the NHL annually with his coaching methods. He's starting to step away from the day-to-day life of the job, but he's still a significant part of the organization.
When Igor Shesterkin struggles with his confidence and works behind the scenes only to re-emerge as his dominant self, Benoit Allaire is at work. When Jonathan Quick came into Madison Square Garden when many thought he was a husk of his former self and that his best days were behind him, Allaire directed him to the fountain of youth and helped him defy father time.
His part in the organization is often unnoticed since it's attributed to the talent of the netminder. While the talented netminders are an important piece of the puzzle when it comes to the New York Rangers and their contention status, they wouldn't be what they are if the Blueshirts didn't have Allaire pulling the strings behind the scenes for the men manning the Blueshirts crease.
