Who is the Player to Watch against the Anaheim Ducks?
Troy Terry is widely considered to be the Maple Leafs' player to watch for Anaheim's franchise. Let's break down how he could impact the Rangers on ice and what to look out for in tonight's game.
The New York Rangers are looking to bounce back after their first regulation-time loss against the reigning Stanley Cup Champions — the Florida Panthers.
Our Blueshirts lost 3-1, with Alexis Lafreniere tallying the Rangers' lone goal of the matchup.
Switching gears to the present, the Rangers will be hosting the Anaheim Ducks on the evening of Oct. 26 in their quest to bounce back from the loss.
The Ducks currently possess a 3-2-1 record compared to the NY Rangers' 5-1-1.
Records aside, Troy Terry is obviously the opposing player to watch ahead of the 7 p.m. EST contest.
Troy Terry
Terry is the Ducks' leader in goals (four) and points (five). He boasts a 26.7% shooting percentage, tops among the Ducks' forwards.
He went into the season knowing the team could not afford for him to start the way the Ducks did last season when he had a similar amount of goals – five – so far in 2024-25. The right wing also sits second in shots (15) despite only skating 15:53 minutes a night on average.
A second season in head coach Greg Cronin’s system, new linemates that are giving the Ducks attack a fresh look, or whatever you want, but Terry has found his scoring touch early which is a best-case scenario for both him and the team.
Terry, a fifth-round pick at No. 148 in the 2015 NHL Draft, made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks on March 27, 2018, after a decorated amateur career that included three seasons at the University of Denver.
