Welcome back, New York Rangers fans. It’s Friday and glad to see you made it!
We decided to share some fun stuff to help you through your last hours of the work week.
Etem-Ali Connection- THESCORE.COM
If you’re a Rangers fan on Instagramn, you definitely need to add newcomer Emerson Etem to your following.

He seems to be one of the more active users of the popular social media app, along with twitter.
On Tuesday, Etem used both outlets to unveil his latest tattoo. The image was that of the world’s greatest heavyweight champion in the sport of boxing, Muhammad Ali.
Etem’s tribute to the boxing is certainly one of a kind. The detail that went into the rendition of Ali is nothing I have seen.
I guess he is trying to draw inspiration from one of his heroes and embody his legendary mystique when he steps onto the ice at Madison Square Garden, known not just for hosting Rangers games but perhaps the greatest boxing match of the 20th century, Ali vs. Joe Frazier.

Yeah, that’s Etem’s friendly buddy, Rico. No words could describe the feels. So, we will just leave this here.
Enjoy the cute and fuzzies!
The King shares himself in different phases of life
When writing this edition, I stumbled across some YouTube videos of Henrik Lundqvist I haven’t seen before.
The first two clips are funny. He did a spot on ESPN, a short 30-second promotion. We have all seen him in the Bristol cafeteria with the Swedish Chef. But, this clip I’ve not com across before and wanted to share it with you.
It’s casual day at the SportsCenter office.
We’ve all experienced it when we forget about the day of not having to dress up for work and just come in relaxed. Well, Lundqvist forgot about it, being ever so hard at his work.
The day just slipped his mind before getting to the office. Just watch.
This next clip was part of an ESPN series, where athletes took control over the network’s sport personalities. Again, this was something that I had not seen before, and wanted to share.
It’s Lundqvist ‘making over’ hockey analyst Barry Melrose. Lundqvist gives him advice on fashion: suits, shirts, and ties. He even had a number done to Melrose’s trademark mullet (which went out in the 90’s Barry, get with the times man).
Check out the King showing a thing or two to the Los Angeles Kings former coach.
If you watched the NHL Awards this past June, you were probably touched by the story of the Ottawa Senators biggest fan, Jonathan Pitre.
He was the young man who has suffered and endured a painful childhood, living with a rare shin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa, E.B. for short.
In a touch of class by the NHL and Senators players, they surprised the young man by joining him on stage and paying tribute to their ‘biggest’ fan.
In 2014, a series called The Hook-Up, which airs on the YES Network, CEO Brandon Steiner gave a once-in-a lifetime opportunity to a young man, who suffers from the same skin disease as Pitre.
John Hudson Dilgen was invited by Steiner to their memorabilia building in New York for a behind-the-scenes look at the business. Steiner takes him on a tour of their warehouses and showed the various sports art that is kept at the warehouse.
What happens at the end is something that every parent wants their children to experience, joy and happiness at meeting their childhood hero.
It’s a clip you have to see for yourself:
We hope this made your Friday smooth and bearable. Join us again tomorrow for another edition of the Daily Dose.
Have a great weekend.
