Pavel Buchnevich’s playing time

Pavel Buchnevich showed signs of real promise throughout his first full season in the NHL. There were moments that showed Buchnevich had the potential to be one the teams top forwards.

However, that is not how Vigneault saw it. Buchnevich averaged just 15:01 in ice time per game and was not on the ice at many critical moments.

As the Rangers shift gears into giving the young guys more ice time going forward, it was clear the Rangers were not going to be able to work with Vigneault anymore.

Buchnevich needed to play more this year if the Rangers wanted a chance at the playoffs. It just never came and Vigneault is to blame.
