My three stars of the game

  1. Pavel Buchnevich has gone through a miraculous transformation. Since February 20, in 21 games, he has ten goals and 18 points. On a line with Zibanejad and Kreider, he has been shooting more and much more engaged.  He’s shown more emotion over the last few weeks than in three years in New York.  He had a goal and an assist in this game and could have had a couple more.
  2. Alexandar Georgiev singlehandedly won this game for the Rangers.   He did let in one bad goal, but the rest of the game he was a rock in goal. He faced a constant stream of shots over the last two periods and finished the game with 25 minutes of shutout hockey.
  3. Mika Zibanejad had another rock solid game and finished with one assist. He was excellent on faceoffs and led all Ranger players in minutes played (21:37).  He had his 31st goal wiped out on a goalie interference call.

dark. Next. Why the Rangers should sign Erik Karlsson
