New York Rangers lose 9-3 to Tampa, a game to forget

My three stars of the game

  1. Artemi Panarin was a plus three and added two assists to his team leading total.  Panarin never gives up and at times was singlehandedly trying to get the team back in the game.  he needs more support.
  2. Filip Chytil also came to play and ended up with two goals.  He finished plus one and had three shots.  Chytil never stopped skating and forced play.
  3. It’s tough to pick a defenseman as a star of the game when the team gives up nine goals, but Ryan Lindgren deserves a star for his moxie and his outlet pass on the Chris Kreider goal.  Lindgren took a soft two minute penalty and also went off with Tyler Johnson for roughing, but he was able to maintain his composure and didn’t do anything to put the Rangers in a worse position.

Next up

The second game of this Florida road trip will be on Saturday night in Miami as they take on the Florida Panthers. Gametime is 7pm and the game will be televised on MSG2.
