7. 2013 Semifinals, Game 3: Daniel Paille’s late third period goal

The Bruins were a more talented team than the Rangers in2013 and won the first two games of the series in Boston. Game Three, though, was really in the Ranger’s hands. The fans were in it, the Garden was rocking, but despite outshooting the Bruins, the Rangers just could not score.

They held a slim 1-0 lead going into the third period on a goal by Taylor Pyatt, but Johnny Boychuk scored just three minutes in to tie the game.

With just 3:34 left in the game and overtime looming,, Daniel Paille scored to make the game 2-1  and the Rangers could not find another goal. They ended up going down 3-0 in the series.

Chris Kreider won Game Four with an overtime goal i to make the series 3-1, but you wonder if the team won Game Three how different the series would have been.
