My 3 Rangers stars of the game

Pavel Buchnevich

gets the first star not just for his hat trick, but for his outstanding work on the penalty kill when he totaled more ice time than any other player.  Scoring the first goal was key and Buchnevich led the way to the win.

  • Artemi Panarin was brilliant once again.  He had his second four point game of the season and the 16th multi-point game of the season.  In the 19 games since coming back from his leave of  absence he has had 10 multi-point games.
  • Adam Fox didn’t dent the score sheet for only the third time in the last 16 games, but he led all players in ice time, quarterbacked the power play that scored two goals and was integral to the penalty kill  that had to be perfect in the third period.
  • The official 3 stars

    1. Pavel Buchnevich
    2. Artemi Panarin
    3. Mika Zibanejad

A rematch with the Devils await on Sunday at 3pm.  It will conclude the season series between the two teams. With the Bruins hosting the red hot Capitals, it’s a chance for the Rangers to pull within two points of Boston.
