The New York Rangers are about to play in their third Winter Classic against the Florida Panthers on January 2, 2026. With the new opportunity to play in front of the entire hockey world in the great game outdoors comes a new jersey announcement.
Here is a ranking off all three uniforms, not including the stadium series games. Let it be known that all three of these jerseys are all great in their own right.
3. 2018 Winter Classic

This Winter Classic uniform from the 2018 Winter Classic are a solid one, but the worst of the three. The reason is that it too closely resembles a previous third uniform used from 2010 through 2017. It only really differed in the Winter Classic uni's being with white numbers instead of the red.

The 2016 Winter Classic saw the Rangers facing off against the Buffalo Sabres, winning 3-2 in overtime at Citi Field. If memory serves, a much younger J.T. Miller scored the overtime winner in that contest.
2. 2026 Winter Classic
We are putting the second-place Winter Classic jersey with the newest ones, yet to be worn in a game. They have some heritage to it, and definitely fits the theme of the centennial season. But, as the Rangers have not been all that great in those special commemorative 100th season uniforms, let's hope they can at least get the win for the Winter Classic this season.

1. 2012 Winter Classic
Relive this core memory. The 2012 Winter Classic, on the road at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. Henrik Lundqvist standing alone on Daniel Briere on a penalty shot in these amazing off-white renditions with the old-school plated crest. Take it all in, Rangers fans.

These are the best jerseys for the Rangers in the Winter Classic, due to its nostalgia and look. It fit this franchise so well in it's first showing in the outdoor game, and will live on with a legacy.
Where would you rank these uniform's and should the Rangers bring any of them back for their next trip outdoors?
