New York Rangers prospect Noah Laba as one of the nominees for the coveted Hobey Baker Award.
On Wednesday morning, the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Foundation announced junior Perreault as one of three Colorado College nominees. The award is annually presented to the top NCAA men's ice hockey player.
The Michigan native was drafted as the No. 111 overall pick by the Rangers in the 2022 entry draft.
Laba currently has five goals and 12 assists — for 17 points — on the 2024-24 NCAA men's ice hockey season so far. Last year, the forward finished tied for third in nation with three short-handed goals and fourth with seven game-winning-goals — the most by a Tiger since 2005-6.
Additionally, the 21-year-old was named to the NCHC First All-Star Team and the NCAA (West) Second All-America Team, both in 2024.
He joins fellow Rangers prospect Gabe Perrault on the list of nominees for the Hobey Baker Award.
Colorado College is currently 11-10-2 on the year with a 5-6-1 record in the conference slate. The Tigers boast eight wins at home and three during away contests.
The initial list will be trimmed down to the Top 10 in March and the winner will be announced during the Frozen Four in April. NCAA hockey fans can vote here.
