OTTAWA, Ontario — The defending champion Americans lost for the first time in three games. Despite scoring two goals, the United States dropped a 4-3 decision to Finland in overtime
“We need more consistency up and down the lineup and I shared that with the team after the game,” said David Carle, head coach of the U.S. National Junior Team. “I was proud of the comeback in the third, and particularly our penalty kill. We’ll continue to work on coming together as a group and I have confidence in our guys that we can get to where we need to be.”
"Both teams had a lot of chances, but I think for us, it's getting a little bit more consistent in how we want to play. A lot more consistence throughout our lineup and how we want to play," Carle went on to say. "I felt like we were chasing the game a little bit."
