The Rangers logged quite an impressive win over fellow city foe — the New York Islanders — on Tuesday afternoon.

It was the most impressive win the New York Rangers recorded in weeks, boasting a goal differential of three over the Islanders. Extra impressive were the players on the ice as exactly 10 Blueshirts tallied a point in the contest.

Despite so many players having a successful night in the 5-2 win, there was one who skated above the rest.

Artemi Panarin

Alternate captain Panarin lead the way in goals for the evening with two.

He now sits with 799 career goals, just one shy of joining the 800-point club. Adding to his resume is the fact that he has points in 10 of the Rangers' last 11 games.

The Russia native leads the Blueshirts with 18 points so far this campaign.

Panarin began his NHL career with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2015 and has been with the Rangers since 2019.

He is currently a two time Second All-Star Team member (2017, 2023) and two time First All-Star Team member (2020, 2024).

Last season, Panarin became the seventh player in Rangers history to have a 100-point season and the first since 2005-6.

He's played in all 11 games thus far, including nine goals and nine assists for an even total of 18 points.

Against the Islanders — Panarin restored the two-goal lead at 11:04 of the middle period on the power play. For this goal, he got the puck at the point to whip a shot through the screen.

His second of the game and team-leading ninth goal into an empty net at 16:37.

His performance was crucial in helping the Rangers win for the third time in their last four games.
