New York Rangers Daily Dose: Dates to Remember
Good Monday, New York Rangers fans.
Here is a bit of Rangers news to help us look forward to the upcoming season and to get a head start on ‘date nights’ with your significant other or friends.
These are compliments of Rangers guru and blueshirtsunited.com’s correspondent, Jim Cerny.
Rangers dates to circle on our calendar for 2015-2016 season- BLUESHIRTSUNITED.COM
Thanks to Mr. Cerny, Rangers fans have dates to look forward to.
The offseason has dragged on for so long. It feels like it has been an eternity since we last saw the boys on the ice.
But, there is light at the end of the tunnel thanks to the Rangers insider. We will highlight the most important nights from his list, that will have special meaning:
Traverse City Tournament
We agree with Jim Cerny on this. It is the ‘unofficial’ start to the season. The event is planned to get underway September 11th.
Even though the prospects will be showcased, it offers a great opportunity to see what the future holds for the team. Those much-talked about future stars like Brandon Halverson, Brady Skjei, and newcomer Ryan Gropp will headline the Rangers when they take on fellow prospects from another team.
Normally, it’s around this time the chatter starts building among the Rangers fanbase. Look for your social media accounts to start shifting into hockey mode.

The Goal Buster and the Flow meet their former teammates
Make sure to clear your schedules in December. Start making travel preparations, excuses to your boss, and planning medical appointments to see if you are feeling ill. For it’s the month of former Rangers reuniting on the ice with their former teammates, for the first time since being traded this past offseason.
First, it’s Cam Talbot‘s turn to skate in front of his former teammates in Edmonton on December 11th.
Hopefully, we will see him in a starting role with the new-look Oilers. It will be the first time that Talbot and his predecessor Henrik Lundqvist will be on the same ice, in a live game. Oh, and we get to see the much-hyped Connor McDavid.
Then, on December 22, a homecoming for a Swede to New York.

Carl Hagelin makes his debut as a Anaheim Duck at Madison Square Garden. We shall see if the California lifestyle has gotten to the speedy forward.
He’s home-grown talent, who spent the first four years of his career in a blue sweater. That’s what makes it even tougher to watch. It will be something to see him speed down the side boards and put the puck on net, as he had done countless times in the past.
We will always have your overtime goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Hags!
These two events are sure to get the fanbase talking and sentimental words will be spoken. But remember, it’s a game and we all have to move forward!
We will keep an eye out for Jim Cerny’s key Rangers dates for the second half of the 2015-2016 season. For now, let these dates sink in a little bit. For more dates, you can always click on the above link for his full list.
Talk to you all tomorrow!
