#5) Against Corey Crawford (Chicago Blackhawks)- October 03, 2014

It was a preseason game, but it still makes this list.

When Zuccarello began his career in the NHL, he came on the scene as a shootout specialist. His slow and deliberate approach to the goalie was soon popping up around the NHL, almost becoming the norm. Zuccarello played mind games with the opposing goalie, staring them down and waiting for his opportunity.

And to his credit, Zuccarello was met with success. Soon, however, that approach wasn’t getting it done. Zuccarello needed to reach into his bag of tricks and mix things up a beat.

Nobody wants to be a one-hit wonder.

With that in mind, Zuccarello changed up his pace in the shootout, as you will see here.

The game was tied 2-2 heading into overtime. After nothing was settled in the extra five minutes of play, the shootout was called to settle the score.

Zuccarello makes Corey Crawford look silly, out-faking the netminder. It was so nasty that the Blackhawks netminder could not do anything but watch, by the time Zuccarello scored.
