No. 203 - Felix Färhammar
The Rangers seventh round and final pick of the 2025 NHL Draft went to Swedish defenseman Felix Färhammar.
Färhammar is known for playing at both ends of the ice and has high success rate on his edges due to possessing strong vision. This all means he has the potential to be a two-way player.
The lefty flashes a decent defensive stick, is able to lay the body and is solid positionally — which all point to him being an asset when it comes to preventing scoring chances off the rush.
Born in 2007, standing at 6'1" and weighing 185, Färhammar most recently tied for 26th in J20 national point-scoring among defensemen with 21 points (three goals, 18 assists) in 43 contests. He also appeared in two Swedish Hockey League (SHL) games.
Ahead of free agency, more good news comes for fans of the future of the Rangers franchise — quite a number of these draftees are already on the ice as part of the 32 players participating in the Rangers' annual prospect development camp with Director of Player Development Jed Ortmeyer.
